in Part I i will talk about islam in a general way and in Part II, im will talk only about how is the famel condicion.
Part I:
Islam is an Arabic word which means peace, purity, acceptance and commitment. As a religion, Islam carries a full acceptance and submission to the council and teaching of God.
It is not a new religion, is essentially the message board and in which God revealed to all his messengers:
They said: "We believe in Allah and this, which was revealed to Abraham, Ismail, Isaac and Jacob and the tribes in which was given to Moses, Jesus and the prophets from their Lord, we do not make distinctions between them and us submit to it. "
The message was revealed to the prophet Muhammad is Islam in its final form complete and comprehensive. This message gives us the impression that in Islam Allah is above all else, we can compare with the concepts of the philosopher St. Augustine, which states that God is above all things and get to it is to find wisdom. In the history of philosophy Arabic doctor was wise, the teacher par excellence and the Philosopher, all this is what the word Al-Hakim, which was called to doctors. Learning the medicine was for Muslims a search of wisdom that was not limited at the theoretical level, but he needed the experience of traveling, searching beyond the knowledge and learn about other places and other people. The medicine was a form of philosophy that sought men's health through a life suited to their nature. In conclusion, become a doctor for Muslims is to be wise, or obtain wisdom and reach Allah and become Philosophers; reminds us once again to St. Augustine finding that wisdom comes to God and is Philosopher. Muslims believe ignorance as the worst of evils, says an Arabic proverb: "Seek knowledge even if found to go to China."
Islam is often misunderstood and seem exotic in some parts of the world today. Perhaps this is because religion does not dominate in a long time every day in the life of Western society, while for Muslims Islam is life.
We interpret this as if there was an envy of society towards Western society East, as the latter enjoys his religion, to live and be governed by it no matter the price, whereas for the West is like carrying a weight on his shoulders.
Muslims do not make artificial divisions between the secular (priest who is not under the rules of a church) and the priest who performs.
For some little time Islam was intended as some Eastern religion, but with the increased number of Muslims living in the West, it is gradually being perceived as a global confidence.
Muslims are not seen as outsiders with unusual practices, but are welcome as part of a mosaic of life in the West. In many cases, Islam is not seen as a religion but as an acceptable way forward in life.
In the early seventh century of the Christian era was an extraordinary event in the Arabian Peninsula. A charismatic figure who unified the native tribes, then embarked on a campaign of conquest that lasted centuries. This man was called Muhammad, was known as the prophet Mohammed and his religion was Islam. The lack of culture but felt inspired, influenced by the current Jewish and Christian, the Old and New Testament to affirm the oneness of God. Because the prophet did not receive a formal education, the Koran was revealed through speech, and was written by their secretaries. Thus every word was written and preserved during and after his life for his comrades. Many callers to Islam "Mahomet" in reality is an improper name for himself and spiritually because it offends Muhammad was the messenger of God and not a divine worship for Muslims. They love to Allhá, not his last prophet. The prediction of Muhammad is scepticism in some people and ridicule in others, also found that some addicts alarmed traders who traffic in Mecca risk running their businesses, since they were based on pilgrimages and was the abolition of propaganda idols. At first he found support in his tribe but was quickly abandoned.
Part II
The status of women in Islamic countries is changing rapidly. Men can have up to four women, this is something rare in today and most have only one. This is due to have four women must have enough money to maintain them and today it is difficult to maintain and keep much more four.
Tradition says that a man can divorce his wife three times orally stating that it intends to divorce (divorce), but women can not do the same. However, reforms in some countries have recently allowed that women can divorce under certain circumstances, for example if the husband marries a second wife after being involved in the marriage contract to have one.
Many women dressed according to Islamic tradition, covering the entire body including the hands, face and hair. Currently are allowed to show his face and hands, and some even wear a discreet western style, while retaining their Islamic dress to go to the mosque for prayers and at home.
Today many young women working, some held high positions in government or have their own businesses. There are no restrictions on women's access to working life and career, except for acting Kadi (Judge).
But a few years ago it was not so well, Muslim women spent their lives in complete isolation of the harem, which dealt with domestic issues, to monitor the work of the maids, childcare or embroidery. His social life was limited to family gatherings. Another rule is that men who lead the floor to make him a woman or signs on the street, will be punished according to certain regulations already in place. But these provisions were not always implemented to the letter, there was a time called "the tulips" in the second half of the eighteenth century, when women had some freedom, dressed with a feradje attending festivals and shows to air free. Little by little life was introduced in the Harem in Persia and Byzantium, but in the fifteenth century it was divided into a section of women or men and a Harem Selamlik or, in a short time became a habit of the population in the private homes. Until that ended WWI separated men and women travelling in public transport vehicles.
Marriage is endogamous, ie married between relatives. The woman gets married soon, just marriage, between 8 and 18, men between 14 and 18 years.
First there was the wedding between parents without regard to youth, why is so widespread repudiation. It is the mother of the groom who have to find a wife for her son; visit families and negotiates the Mahr (dowry) and shart (expenses remarried and regalia). We do not allow adultery, and for women it is difficult to repudiate because it has to give their explanations of why, on the other hand man can repudiate without dishonour to her family.
Finally we have two views of life of women in the Islamic world, where no one is blaming the women of many religious crimes in which the man is also involved. And the other is the positive where the matches before the Koran.
We begin the first establishing the view of Dr. Yusuf al-Qaradawi. This Muslim said that many have adopted the Judeo-Christian ethic that sees women as the source of human tragedy because of their alleged biblical role as the tempting that seduced Adam in disobedience to his Lord. Tent her husband to eat the forbidden fruit, she not only defied Allah, but that caused the expulsion of humanity's paradise, instigating and human suffering throughout the storm.
